KRX 1000 RENTAL FAQ
Everything you need to know before renting a Kawasaki KRX 1000 in Moab.
Yes. The KRX 1000 is one of the easiest and most user friendly UTVs to drive in Moab. It has a smooth ride, predictable handling and plenty of power without being difficult to control. Our guides choose the KRX over any other vehicle when they get the choice.
Absolutely. You do not need years of UTV experience to rent a KRX. Before you leave, we show you how the machine works, explain the controls and give you driving tips to help you feel comfortable on the trails. We also provide digital and paper maps.
You can explore many of Moab's public BLM trails, including Hell's Revenge, Fins & Things, Poison Spider Mesa, Hurrah Pass, Chicken Corners and many more. Kane Creek Road leads toward Hurrah Pass and continues toward Chicken Corners.
The standard KRX 1000 rental seats two people. We also have Kawasaki KRX models available with four and five seats if you need more room for your group.
The KRX is one of our favorite vehicles for Hell's Revenge because it makes challenging terrain easier to handle. Its smooth ride, capable suspension, predictable throttle and strong traction give both beginners and experienced drivers a great combination of confidence and performance.
Your rental includes digital maps, paper maps, helmets, trail support, fueling, washing and a cooler with ice. You also receive a free month of OnX Offroad to help you navigate Moab's trails.
You must be at least 21 years old to rent a KRX 1000. A valid driver's license is required to drive the vehicle. Anyone 16 or older with a valid driver's license can drive, but the renter decides who they allow to operate the vehicle.
The damage deposit is $2,000 and can be provided by credit card, debit card or cash. We also offer a damage waiver that can significantly reduce your financial exposure if the vehicle is damaged.
Call us and our team will come out to help. We can swap the tire or belt and get you back on the trail as quickly as possible. With our damage waiver, the deductible for one tire or belt is $50 instead of the typical $300 or more.
The KRX is our favorite UTV for a reason. It combines a smooth ride with an extremely user friendly throttle, plenty of power and excellent capability on Moab's toughest terrain. The wet clutch also helps reduce belt stress. If our employees could pick one UTV for themselves, the KRX would be the hands down choice.
Call Moab Tour Company and our staff will come out to you. We can quickly repair the vehicle or swap it when necessary so you can get back to enjoying your day.
No. Washing and fueling are included with your rental. You can spend your entire rental enjoying Moab instead of worrying about cleaning and refueling the machine.
Helmets are included with every rental. Riders 18 and older may choose whether to wear one. Riders 17 and younger are required to wear a helmet.
You can drive on public BLM land trails that are open to side by sides. Moab Tour Company does not impose the trail restrictions used by many other rental companies. Side by sides are not allowed on trails inside the national parks.
No. You do not need to purchase an OHV sticker for the rental. However, every rental driver must complete the required OHV education course before operating a rental vehicle.
Rental options include 3 hours, 5 hours, a full day, 24 hours and multiple day rentals.
Call Moab Tour Company. Our trail support team can come out and help with mechanical problems, flat tires and broken belts. Our goal is to get you back on the trail as quickly as possible.
